Honoring Gold Star Mothers: A New Chapter in Our Tradition

For the past 15 years, our community has come together to celebrate Mother's Day in a unique and meaningful way. Through our Adopt a Military Mothers for Mother's Day brunch event founded by Mrs. Grace Witt, we have honored the incredible service and sacrifice of military mothers, treating them like royalty for a day and expressing our deepest gratitude for their contributions to our nation.

This year marks a significant milestone in our tradition. For the first time, we are shifting our focus exclusively to Gold Star Mothers. These extraordinary women, who have endured the ultimate sacrifice of losing a child in service to our country, deserve our utmost respect, recognition, and support.

But who exactly are Gold Star Mothers?

Gold Star Mothers are a symbol of courage, resilience, and unwavering love. They are mothers who have lost a son or daughter in military service, whether on the battlefield, due to accidents, or as a result of the silent battles of mental illness or PTSD. Their journey is marked by immeasurable loss, yet they carry on with dignity and strength, honoring the memory of their fallen children while continuing to support their fellow Gold Star Families.

As we approach Mother's Day, it's important to recognize the significance of honoring Gold Star Mothers. While Mother's Day is a time of celebration for many, it can be an incredibly difficult day for those who have lost a child. By dedicating our event to Gold Star Mothers, we offer them a space to come together, find solace in each other's company, and feel the love and support of their community.

We invite you to join us in this heartfelt tribute to Gold Star Mothers. You can show your support by sponsoring a Gold Star Mother's attendance at our event or purchasing tickets for yourself and a Gold Star Mother, joining her at the brunch.

Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these remarkable women, reminding them that their sacrifice is not forgotten and that they are deeply appreciated.
